A week or so before Thanksgiving my daughter and I visited The Depot at Gibson Mall Antique extravaganza in Concord NC! I just knew I was going to run into Myquillyn, The Nester, while browsing booth after booth of wonderful treasures and junque! Alas, we did not bump into her, but we sure had a great time of hunting. One of the things I saw was the paper wreaths, I had admired on a couple of blogs over the months, made from pages of old books. While at The Depot I purchased one volume of an old encyclopedia and set out to make some of those pretty hangings myself! And, make them I did! I went a little crazy making them, but they are going to make nice gifts for some special teachers and my daughter already has one hanging over their bed, I have a couple hanging around the house and hubs has a couple at the salon with a for sale tag on them!!!
Here’s a fabulous YouTube tutorial from Jenna DeAngeles. She’s a character – a very talented one!!!
Okay, here are my wreaths – please excuse the lame photography, all are taken on my Kindle camera app. One day I’m going to have a grown-up camera, but until then, bear with me!
I had two old hymn books on the shelf and now they are wreaths. Like I said, I went a little wreath crazy.
But it was a lot of fun!
