Haven’t joined in with the writers at Lisa-Jo Baker’s 5-minute Friday in a while, I thought today I’d come out of hiding and write on the prompt: MESS; funny, how nemesis kind of sounds like mess and my laundry room is mine.
I consider myself a fairly organized person but there is a room that just seems to get beyond control. Our laundry room. MyMess.
But this week I am “gettin’ her done” once and for all. I am determined.
The dreaded corner.
After
The clutter that has to GO!
Clean, tidy shelves. Hope my daughter sees this!
Still some stuff – but hey, we live here!
I’m only one-third of the way through the room but it is already looking better and by week’s end it will be like a brand new space!
This morning as I pondered the room and the fact that it’s Wednesday, which means new blog post, the Lord reminded me that He has NO nemesis – nothing and no one is beyond His reach and His interest. He can take our mess and turn it into something glorious and worthwhile. This week as I clean and de-clutter I want to be mindful of what the Lord has done in me – the messy, dirty, and cluttered life I laid before Him years ago and pleaded, “Fix me, God, because I sure cannot fix myself.” I am a work in process with a plan of action and my goal is to honor my Lord and Savior in everything I do and say and write!
Time to ‘fess up, do you have a nemesis?
xo
Love this! Yes! my hubby office, in our house. And I’m trying to get rid of the Nemesis. a work in progress. And Susi, Dear, your place is Never Messy!
Thank you for this word, Yes!
Nemisis – yep – ME – I have met the enemy and he is me ! ! !
Hey cousin!!!
This house (literal and spiritual) has been de-cluttered so many times…………………….well, we keep on keeping on trusting in Christ for complete and total deliverance from self and the messes made in the past, present & future.
You go Sus!
I don’t have just one…..LOL….your house always looks wonderful to me. I would say my major nemesis would be cabinets/closets/drawers. Love ya!
Nemesis would be my head right now. Everything in my life that I can “see” is in order. I love a clean car and it is rare when there is “junk” in it. I don’t have too much left anymore so “stuff” is ot an issue. My head is full of junk and what if’s, and how’s, and why’s, and now what’s, and wonders…BUT the LORD has been and will continue to be my Portion.
Nemesis – anything outside my comfort zone. The physical things aren’t hard for me, but get out of my usual routine with an offer and….. Remember the first idea of cousin’s weekend, if it hadn’t been for Leigh I don’t know if I would have said yes and I would have missed out on so many precious memories and renewed relationships.
It’s opening up to the adventure that’s my nemesis.
