My dear friend, Kathryn “Kitty” Lawrence loves to pontificate on “things”, and, her emails usually end with, “Ok, here is my last word.” To which I always think she wishes it was her last word!!! We women normally have something to say, don’t we? I like to add OMT, one more thing, to my emails when in truth we have at least four more things! This past week Kitty’s last word was especially poignant and I wanted to share – of course I have her permission to do so.
“Life can be terrible.”
“Circumstances and situations happen and, then, there we are trying to cope, trying to keep our heads above water. It seems that the waters try to drown us in care and loss of faith and then we wake up to a morning like this one. The smell of coffee wafts through the house as does the casserole in the oven. The clock on the mantel chimes as a reminder that there are places to be and people to see. A quietness washes over me….the gentle flood of Holy Spirit and its companion, a wave of thankfulness. In a few, I’ll be blessed to sit in the presence of Godly women who thirst for the Word of the LORD and have come “to see Jesus”. As bad as it gets, it, life made by God, is much better.”
Yep, that was the last word for today!
Sounds just like Ann, doesn’t she! Very good honey!
That’s Mrs. Kitty…always with the words of wisdom. Tooo bad some of us don’t listen. Wait, wait, wait, and then the last word. Thanks, Miss Kitty, that last word is what made everything else come together. Kitty has always been my hero. – Sharpshooter
Lowell……I consider you a very dear and LOYAL friend. And you make me laugh. (:
Bless you my Brother.
Good stuff! Love Kitty’s wisdom…
