Noah – remember him?
I think one of the saddest things in the Bible is this…
And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and HE was grieved in HIS heart. Genesis 6.6
I mean, doesn’t that break your heart when you read that?
The Flood Is Coming
So, over the past week as I prayed for the election and for our President and his administration, Spirit spoke these words to me…
the flood is coming.
I don’t believe it has anything to do with water – when God told Noah He was going to send the floodwaters on the earth it is possible Noah said, “HUH?”
Many scholars believe it hadn’t rained upon the earth before the Noahic flood – there’s nothing concrete to bear evidence of that but what if?
God, I am going to build a huge ark because water is going to fall from the sky and flood the earth?
Just do as I say, Noah, don’t sweat the details of rain. Just build the boat and do as I say.
Yes, LORD.
So, What Exactly Is God Talking About To Me?
I’m not sure but He did bring these two scriptures to me…
The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.
8 But with an overflowing flood
He will make an utter end of its place,
And darkness will pursue His enemies. Nahum 1.7-8So shall they fear
The name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in – like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59.19
So, What Am I Going To Do?
I am going to stay on my toes. I am going to…
Watch
Pray
Listen
Discern
Test
I may not build a boat but when that flood strikes? Whatever it is a flood of…I am going to be prayed up and ready.
How about you?

Wow- A strong Godly presence is what our country needs. And if it’s not through our government and our citizens then maybe a Flood will do the trick. Praying for a revival.
A flood of Holy Spirit!!!!
Susan,
You and me…we’re on the same page. I’ve been reading through the Bible again and as providence would have it, I read Matthew 24 immediately after the “election.” This may seem like a “peaceful” break in the action, but I believe the “flood” of tribulation is coming and we are called to be alert and at the ready. I don’t want to be caught sleeping when the Master returns. Praying with you…
Blessings,
Bev xx
It doesn’t feel like that kind, Bev, I believe it’s a flood of God’s Spirit.
I’m doing the same here: watching, waiting, praying, and listening. It’s what we are called to do.
PS: Love the window treatments!
Thanks, Tam!
Yes we must be ready…………prayed up and ready. Today the Church needs one another like never before. A flood of the Holy Ghost………..hallelujah!
HALLELUJAH! Glory!
I would love to see the Holy Spirit break forth and bring people to faith or a renewed walk with Jesus in these days–or soon!
YES! Barb – now wouldn’t that be a great flood!!!
Amazing. The LORD in almost the same language has been speaking to me as well. You have a flood. I have a storm. Same thing.
Prayed up. Yes.
Whew…
I believe the election may be the catalyst we need to release a flood of the Holy Spirit here in this country. We must work to build God’s Kingdom each day. It’s coming and I don’t want to miss it!
Neither do I! Your Kingdom come, Lord Jesus.
