We have this print hanging in our dining room – it is definitely one of my all-time faves! Such simplicity. A bowl, bread, knife, and a Bible. Broken bread and Living Bread! And, a prayer of gratitude and thanks-giving. [Today, this man is praying 2 Chronicles 7.14 for the election!]
This week’s Quietude post I shared how I love Thanksgiving the best of all holidays – “celebration without expectation.” Amen?
This week’s Tasty Tuesday I am sharing two tried and true recipes from my old-fashioned recipe box. These are side dishes I have made at least 15 times between 1985 and 2000! Our family loves them and they are perfect served with leftovers too.
One is 24-Hour Fruit Salad and the other Cranberry-Apple Relish. They are both so good, they can almost be served as dessert! I hope you’ll try them on your 2016 Thanksgiving menu. The printables are below.
Bon Appétit!
I grew up with that wall hanging at my grandparents house!
We had that picture too! The recipes sound delicious!

It’s good and you don’t need black powder!
