This will be the last week of “all things Thanksgiving!”
Finally, we are actually cooking because the BIG DAY is here. I have just about all my responsibilities complete, I need to firm up the placards but when we head to our daughter’s house I’ll have everything ready and waiting!
Today, I’m featuring a Turkey Burger – I know you won’t fix these for the big feast day but they sounded so good and easy and turkey’ish – maybe an easy December supper? I can’t imagine kids liking cranberry sauce on a burger but you could leave off that part on their’s. I think it sounds kind of good! My cousin is a good cook and it’s her recipe. Enough said!
The other featured recipe is a green bean side. Not everyone likes the traditional green bean/soup/onion ring casserole (including me), but these sound delish and if you used the fancy skinny gourmet green beans, Haricot Verts, I believe the dish would be a hit!
Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!
So, my friend Nicki says to follow this recipe but add a slice Jalapeno cheese on top of the cranberry sauce! And, be sure to grill the muffin/roll!
Bon Appétit!
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 John verse 2
Actually, cranberry sauce on a burger is pretty tasty if you also add a spicy jalapeno cheese and grill the toast/bun. We have a restaurant in the area that serves this up seasonally and it’s SO GOOD! Happy Thanksgiving Susan!
Nicki, THAT sounds so good. I will definitely try it!
