How can it be? In two days it will be the month of Christmas! For some it’s the most wonderful time of the year. For some, the saddest. But, for those of us who believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the beloved Son of God – regardless of worldly circumstances, it is the Advent of Hope for the human race.
Jesus was born in a cave, laid in a bed of straw, and is The Hope of Nations.
This month of Christmas I want Tasty Tuesdays to be filled with deliciousness. If you have a must-make Christmas recipe, please email me and let’s feature it – we are going to count five Tuesdays in the month of Christmas, including today the 29th of November!!!
My friend, Gayl Wright, posted a picture on Facebook of these incredibly gorgeous Cinnamon Buns over the weekend – she makes them for her husband’s birthday – she says it is a gift because they are tedious to bake but oh so worth it and her dear Steve loves them. I asked her to share and the recipe is below in a printable. I know I would never try making them but I definitely know several who will! Some call them sticky buns, hot-cross buns, honey buns, but I’m calling them “JUST PLAIN GOOD!”
Gayl blogs Words, Photos, and Art here – and she is a champion in the kitchen, I guess you have to be when you’ve raised seven children and have almost 14 grandchildren to cook for occasionally! Thank you, Gayl, for sharing this vintage recipe from your collection!
Bon Appétit!
That picture makes my mouth water!
I know and I’m not even a sweet-loving person!!!
They are really delicious, Melissa! They are worth the trouble to make. 🙂
Sweet recipe — sweet lady.
Gayl is a wonderful woman and good friend! We’ve met IRL.
Aw, thanks Michele! Maybe someday you and I will meet in person, too. I am blessed to have met Susan, and count her as a very good friend.
I might need to try these!
Tara, not until your tummy feels better!
Yes, Tara, you will love them!
Susan, thank you for featuring the buns. They sure have been a hit in our family for a long time.
Blessings! xo
YUM!
You should try them, Kathy! 🙂
