The Word

When There Is No Fix

December 7, 2021 by admin 20 Comments

Our Big God This past Sunday we settled in on the couch for online church. We have been following a series in Ephesians but this week the preview said, “A stand-alone message with guest pastor.” Not sure what to expect, we sat back and listened. From the opening sentence we were thoroughly engaged. His opening… [Read More]

Hold The Salt!

September 14, 2021 by admin 24 Comments

Hold The Salt! As most of my readers know I was tagged with another title three weeks ago. Heart patient! I went to the hospital on August 21 and on August 22 I was told I had congestive heart failure. Shocked? Yes, I was. My hospital stay involved several firsts! A CATscan. An Echocardiogram. An… [Read More]

Confront The Giant

May 4, 2021 by admin 12 Comments

Confront The Giant I try very hard not to write random blogposts. I like to wait for Holy Spirit to deliver the message or the title or something HE wants me to write. So, this week I was listening to Joyce Meyer on a quick IGTV video and she said something like, “David didn’t stand… [Read More]

The Desire For Discernment

April 20, 2021 by admin 16 Comments

Desiring Discernment My daughter advised me this past weekend that I needed to keep my mouth quiet about the Vaccine. She said it was too sensitive of an issue to speak publicly about. So, if anything I’ve said or posted has offended anyone please forgive me. I’ve made my stand on the whole Covid and… [Read More]

Remember When?

November 12, 2019 by admin 40 Comments

Remember When?

Remember When? I was raised in a gospel-preaching, Bible-reading church. A fellowship of believers who spoke of and taught that Jesus would return to earth and take those that belonged to Him back to heaven for eternity. Belonging to Him meant one’s heart had been redeemed by the message of the cross. In other words,… [Read More]

Quietude: April 22, 2018

April 22, 2018 by admin 6 Comments

Jesus The Word; Jesus IS God’s Word. For the next weeks we are going to focus on the Names of Jesus. *Jesus is the speech uttered by God the Father, impelled by the breath of God’s Spirit. He is not merely information, but the effective, powerful Word that calls creation out of nothing and life… [Read More]

Quietude: September 3, 2017

September 3, 2017 by admin 2 Comments

It is God’s will that your children be saved. We are praying for our children in Autumn. The season of change is upon us. Prayer changes things because prayer changes us! Psalm 72.4 xo The quiet hour of prayer is one of the most favorable opportunities He has in which to speak to us seriously…. [Read More]

from genesis to revelation

November 23, 2016 by admin 20 Comments

This could be / should be considered for an end of year post but I have my December pretty laid out and, beside that? The Lord woke me up early this Sonday morning and said this is what I want you to write for Wednesday’s blog – who can argue with that? Not I, said… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
