April 11, 2018 by admin 41 Comments

[Most of us, in the Continental United States, are so grossly over winter. Do I have a witness? Can I have an amen? BUT, last week I did see a Mrs. Robin in the yard. And, this week we had two pairs of Mr. and Mrs. Rufous-Sided Towhee. Spring is on its way! There will… [Read More]

Quietude: April 2 2017

Have you ever eaten something new and think to yourself, “Oh my word, I have to make this!” So it was several years ago when we went to a fellowship meal at our church. Shay, one of my most favorite people on earth, made this and I guess there is no other way to put… [Read More]

memorial week

May 27, 2015 by admin 15 Comments

Memorial Day weekend will definitely go down in our family history book as bitter-sweet! First the bitter: While I was outside doing yard work Friday afternoon Hubs was ringing our house phone off the hook. When I finally picked up the call it was an hour or so after the above. We’re waiting for the adjuster’s… [Read More]

March 26, 2013 by admin 8 Comments

My daughter and I sat in the church building, we were visitors to hear my good friend from Indiana sing. The church’s announcements were flashing on the overhead and it caught my eye: “The Day Death Died”, it was the name of their cantata to be performed on Resurrection Sunday. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
