Job 38 It’s Tuesday after a 3-day weekend and I’m going to keep this short. But, instead of short and sweet – it will be short and profound! In the Old Testament book of Job – God speaks. He speaks loud and clear…directly to Job. Directly to me. Directly to you. Here’s your assignment…read Job… [Read More]

Photo Credit: Carl Cerstrand What does that even mean? The Truth will set you FREE? Those are red words in the Gospel, which means Jesus Himself said it. Jesus also said in the Gospel of John that He was The Truth! Ah…now it’s beginning to make more sense. The Truth, JESUS, will make me FREE…. [Read More]

And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Galatians 4.6  I have had difficulty relating to God as a good, good Father. I believe that is a natural difficulty when you’ve had a not-so-great earthly dad. A dad that… [Read More]

I took this photo years ago on a hike on the App Trail in the Grayson Highlands Park. The root system fascinated me then and still does today. There was no water near this path – is that why the roots of the huge tree stretch across the ground? Shallow Roots vs Deep Roots Water… [Read More]

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners,     or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. But… [Read More]

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11.8 I’ve only moved five times in my lifetime but each time I knew where I was going and… [Read More]

These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
