They’re Coming Home

May 25, 2021 by admin 14 Comments

They’re Coming Home This post is going to be all about Prodigals and the promises in the Bible that they are “coming home.” I’m an expert at Prodigals. You know why? I.Am.One. Today, isn’t about my story – it’s about HOPE. We all need true, biblical hope that our prodigals will “come home.” You may… [Read More]

Welcome Home

Did you watch Billy Graham’s funeral televised from the BG Library in Charlotte NC? I sat glued to the livestream on my big computer screen. One of the things I loved most? His children speaking about their daddy. WELCOME HOME Ruth Graham, the middle child of Billy and Ruth, was born in 1950 and her… [Read More]

my favorite 2014 posts and ponderings

Every new year begins the same. New plans. New word. Resolutions. Diets. Commitments. Challenges. Hope. Change. Then, around mid-March you realize that ‘this’ year is looking more like last year than you had really wanted it to. So you have a little come to Jesus meeting with yourself and try to readjust! Do you do… [Read More]

five minute friday – turn

November 7, 2014 by admin 10 Comments

Taking that 5-minute challenge. One word. Five minutes. Go! I will never forget the night God spoke deep. It was 1984 in LaClede Idaho. Around a bonfire. On a very dark night. My mind was fuzzy with illegal substance. The flames danced and what I saw in them was. Ugly. Frightening. Death. The word He… [Read More]

trust

February 7, 2013 by admin 16 Comments

The Lord gave me one of the greatest promises of His Word after a very painful time in our family’s life – HOPE. True, God-Hope was drenching me as I slowly began my “rise to the surface”. Hope has carried me through these past eleven years. This past summer, another family crisis struck. This one… [Read More]

Our family is going through a major upheaval. The scales of our family have become unbalanced and it is a trying time for those directly affected and for this Mom. One of my morning reads is Daily Light – Anne Graham Lotz version. It is a wonderful compilation of morning and evening scriptures, each entry relating to… [Read More]

it’s just too much

May 10, 2012 by admin 6 Comments

OMG! And, I say that in a very prayerful way – never to use my heavenly Father’s name in any manner other than in holy and sincere reverence – life is just so overwhelming. Here’s a listing of what’s on my prayer plate and in my heart account: a very prodigal son an infant’s serious… [Read More]

So, this happened yesterday at home. Hubs was tend So, this happened yesterday at home. Hubs was tending his garden bed out in the corner of the common area and almost stepped on this Momma lake turtle, laying her eggs. He went away and returned hours later and found she had dampened the area and laid sticks on top! He framed it out in pic 3. 60 day incubation and then all those wee turtles will find their way back to the lake!!! How cool is that? #lakelife #tinyhousebiglife #fromfarmtoflat2tinyhouse
Yellow doors scream, "You are welcome here! Come i Yellow doors scream, "You are welcome here! Come in! Rest and peace are found within these doors!" 5 years ago this month we left this house, our home for 30 years. We raised one son here, and for A LOT of summers, the old squeaky screendoor opened and closed with the joy of grandkids. Fireflies, a front porch bat, pussycats, dogs, goats, turkeys, and oinkers grazed the 14 acres. The ring of a blacksmith's anvil clanged for years as my husband designed and created beautiful ironwork. The best goat cheese hung from cheesecloth in its kitchen. Puzzles took shape on the old dining table, and Mexican Train domino challenges snaked along its patina'd surface. Blueberries were picked. Grapes simmered and bubbled into homebrew! But seasons change. Kids grow and leave home. We grew and left. Happy memories. Love grew there, and for that, we are forever blessed. Sweet, sweet memories.
