November 13, 2020 by admin 39 Comments

Kate said cancel Cancel Thanksgiving? NO WAY. We are gathering with family and friends in South Florida – and I cannot wait. 2020 is not going to take Thanksgiving away from me. Five Minute Friday – Ahead

November 6, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

What’s Ahead? “Anything coming?” Hubs asks as we drive along a two-lane country road. “Nope, all clear to pass.” I reply. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could say that about the future in America? But, we cannot. When All Truth Is Told… Not one of us knows what is ahead. No one can ‘guess’… [Read More]

October 30, 2020 by admin 27 Comments

Kate said vote Never in a million years would I have guessed Kate would open such a large can of worms for a word prompt. But she did and I’ll bite the bait! VOTE! And, do not ever think your vote doesn’t count because it does. Two Issues Determine My Vote They are:  Life and… [Read More]

Abundance – An Update & A Giveaway!

October 20, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

One Word 2020 I wonder if anyone thought choosing abundance as my one word 2020 was on the arrogant side. Did you? I almost did but Holy Spirit gave it to me and wouldn’t take it back. He’s not an Indian giver. And, He also gave me the scripture to go along with it… Listen to… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – HOLD

Five Minute Friday – HELP!

October 9, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

Kate said HELP What a day of help! A couple of things. A doctor’s report. An image of a wrecked automobile my grandson was in last night – trapped, until his adrenaline kicked in and he kicked the door out. All four young men walked away. A miracle, the police officer said. Help We believe… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Breathe

October 2, 2020 by admin 22 Comments

Breathe

Kate said BREATHE I say the word, breathe, at least 7 times each day. When things get stressful or rushed…breathe. I say it to people too. In a text message when they are venting or ranting – both are welcomed to my ears. I’ve always said the only way to stay cool is VENT! Voskamp said… [Read More]

Kate said fix Today, I come to confess. Dun Dun D Kate said fix

Today, I come to confess.
Dun Dun Dun Dun…

I used to be a FIXER.

Family problems? Not to worry I will manage, manipulate, and fix it. The only problem? It gets expensive and very stressful.

Fixing is bad for your health.

I have learned

There is a Fixer better than myself. This Fixer can and will FIX anything and anyone IF you ask.
If you release.
If you give it up.
If you lay the object of fix on the altar of sacrifice.

Sometimes…

There is an immediate fix. Sometimes The Fixer will ask you to sit still and do nothing. Sometimes The Fixer will use you in the fix.
But THIS I know…

The Fixer really doesn’t need any help from me.

So, What Does One Do?

We pray and our prayers keep The Fixer involved, on the scene, and in the situation.

The Fixer

Do you know Him?

But may the God of all grace [THE FIXER], who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5.10-11

Who or what are YOU trying to fix? Give them/it to The Fixer!
