Our son and girlfriend came and stayed with us for a few days as they explored the area around Upstate SC. While they were here, the tiny house village had a Low Country Boil… [Read More]

A Look Back At October

November 1, 2017 by admin 28 Comments

I’ve decided not to do my L.I.S.T. for October – I want to reflect on a few things and who better to reflect with than you, my faithful readers and friends! October was a month of Learning, Inspiring, Soul-satisfying Things; however, I want to be a bit more serious about my sharing because it’s possible… [Read More]

Tasty Tuesday: A Farewell to Soup!

October 31, 2017 by admin 4 Comments

Closing the month with a funny! Ha! Ha! Ha! As I’m writing this post the smell of beef stew is wafting up the staircase – that gorgeous aroma of Thyme! When the wind is blowing, the temps dropping, and the socks are fuzzy there is nothing quite like a pot full of something tasty and… [Read More]

Reflections on October 2010

October 25, 2017 by admin 14 Comments

Yesterday I realized that there is but one week left to my favorite month of the entire year. October has been extremely memorable this year. Opening the month were my endearing moments with the ladder while Sharpshooter was away – and, cheering up a discouraged Sam. We weathered well with no lasting scars or emotional… [Read More]

Tasty Tuesday: Soup’s On!

October 24, 2017 by admin 2 Comments

I remember my mom telling me about her dad’s, lovingly called Pa, kitchen skills. Pa was a short order cook in a diner during the depression. They lived in Elizabeth NJ. She told me that her Pa did most of the cooking because her Ma didn’t have the creativity in the kitchen that he had…. [Read More]

Tasty Tuesday: October Soup Is On!

October 17, 2017 by admin 6 Comments

Today, finally, it feels like soup weather! And, as I type, the featured soup is on the stovetop! Cannot wait until supper time. October marks the month of our mom’s passing. October 27th, 2012 she entered the gates of heaven and saw her Savior face-to-face. A happy day for her and a very sad day… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
