Quarterly Report – 4th Q 2020

December 29, 2020 by admin 16 Comments

October 2020 October was a good month – I think partly because it’s my birthday month! My favorite color is OCTOBER! Our son and girlfriend came and stayed with us for a few days as they explored the area around Upstate SC. While they were here, the tiny house village had a Low Country Boil… [Read More]

A Look Back At November 2017

December 6, 2017 by admin 28 Comments

Are you astonished that we are now in the final month of 2017? This has been quite a year and I am beginning to “look back.” I think it advantageous for each of us to do a review, of sorts, of our time. Last year I knew, with no shadow of doubt, that my ‘word’… [Read More]

what i learned and did in november 2016

December 7, 2016 by admin 25 Comments

Maybe the question should be, “What didn’t we do in November?” The one thing I have learned about the readers of HopeHeartHome? You all love lists and pictures – so let’s get started. One. My hubs was nominated and voted “MVP” of the company he works for. Very proud of you, boyfriend! Two. Girlfriends are the… [Read More]

quietude: november 20 2016

November 20, 2016 by admin 5 Comments

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,     to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning,     and Your faithfulness by night…Psalm 92.1-2 I love how our focus turns to gratitude, gratefulness, and thanks-giving this time of year. And, it should! November is the foreward to… [Read More]

what i learned in november

December 1, 2015 by admin 17 Comments

Emily Freeman has posted her What I Learned linkup and I’m ready to think back and see if I learned anything new in November. It would be a terrible waste of 30 days if I didn’t. College football is so much more fun and engaging than pro ball. My daughter, two grandchildren, and I have been… [Read More]

anniversary

November 12, 2014 by admin 44 Comments

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how… [Read More]

only happens once every 100 years

November 1, 2011 by admin 7 Comments

11.1.11 Next time that happens it will be 11.1.111 (WOW!) I like the number 11 – it rhymes with heaven. Today is the first day of November. I like November. I don’t love it but I do like it. Sharpshooter and I celebrate our anniversary on the eleventh – 11.11.11 The set-apart day to give… [Read More]

Vision Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. Vision
Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. In gardening we envision fresh salads, delicious el dante French green beans, and juicy tomato sandwiches. 🍅 As a writer my vision is legacy. My story is one of peaks and valleys, potholes and narrow paths. There are chapters of shame and there are chapters of victory. God has used every single jot and tittle for my good and His glory. See that stack of books on the shelf? That's VISION. That's LEGACY.

Commitment Gardening takes commitment.. if you're Commitment
Gardening takes commitment.. if you're not in it to win it there's no sense in starting. Writing takes the same commitment. Currently, I have a partially completed work in progress. It's called "my brother is a saint." Right now I'm in a season of 'dry' but I'm still committed. See the first picture? It is a photo of Civil War dated garlic. 32 years ago hubs dug up 5 cloves in a field in Harpersville Alabama known for its Civil War / slavery roots. He carefully propagated it and has shared bulbs with many gardeners. That is commitment. My work in progress will get completed - I am committed.

Routine Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Routine
Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Every morning Farmer Hubster walks around the garden pruning, dead-heading, tying, and all the things it takes to have an abundant harvest. Writing requires time spent in reading, research, and WRITING. A popular author once said, "if you want to be a writer then you must write something every day." I attempt to do that. I like the routine of writing ✍️. #hopewriterlife
