Change: Ready or Resistant?

Ready or Resistant? ‘Tis the season of CHANGE! We either love it or not, but, one thing life promises? Is sometime there will be change. Personally, I like change – good, positive changes. I realize we have talked about Ruth before but today we are going to go in a different direction. Ready? Let’s go!… [Read More]

RUTH Part Two

A Spirit of Hope I want to share why I love the story of Ruth in the Old Testament book bearing her name. Ruth had an uncanny courage and a true spirit of hope. She refused to give up. Another reason? My daughter-in-law calls me her Naomi; wherever I go she wants to come along!!!… [Read More]

Ruth - Part One

The story begins with a bad decision A certain man of Bethlehem, Elimilech, his wife Naomi, and their two sons Mahlon and Chilion left Bethlehem, “the house of bread,” and moved to Moab because of a severe famine. God did NOT tell Elimilech to go – he got scared and went. While in Moab, his… [Read More]

1125 B.C. Bethlehem, Judah Home of Elimelech and Naomi, and sons Mahlon and Chilion; perhaps migrant workers, working in the grain fields of Bethlehem’s countryside. The Very First

thing that went through my mind this morning?

Don’t be so fresh.

That is what my mom would say to anyone who said something crass, off-color, or…well, FRESH!
My mom was a character – my friend calls people like my mom, “Catbirds!”
I’m not even sure where my mom’s version of fresh fits in. Any help is appreciated!

Fresh

I do like the idea of something smelling fresh.
A fresh coat of paint.
A fresh outlook.
A fresh perspective.
It is fresh on my palette (regarding taste).
Sheets hung on the clothesline smell so fresh!

Look what I found…

They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.” Psalm 92.14-15

So…

At this point, on this dreary Friday morning – I am going to go have a fresh cuppa coffee. And, I intend to remain fresh and green, bearing fruit in my old age!!!
