Five Minute Friday: BEFORE

February 28, 2020 by admin 12 Comments

Five Minute Friday BEFORE

Kate said before. Not quite sure where to go with this word but I’ll wing it. We are just about to flip a calendar page and slide into March. Typically, I don’t like March but since my mom passed away in 2012 I’ve changed my thoughts about it. You see she was born on March… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: NEED

November 3, 2017 by admin 31 Comments

Kate Motaung, hostess with the mostest, said NEED last night at the Five Minute Friday twitter party. I was falling asleep when the charge was given. I am one who NEEDs her sleep! Five minutes, go: We put our house up for sale last month – for sale by owner. My daughter came and we… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: MOM

May 12, 2017 by admin 22 Comments

No partying for me last night! Kate Motaung and the Five Minute Friday crew gathered while I crashed! I find out she said… 00:00 This week I have honored some of the women in my life: my daughter, my sister, and my own mum on Quietude this Sonday. So today I am going to do… [Read More]

Quietude: May 7 2017

May 7, 2017 by admin 5 Comments

May, the month for all women to be celebrated! Growing up I was blessed to have a godly Mom and Grandma who continually poured good and Godly things into me. I wasn’t always appreciative! My Grandma Emily prayed John 17.15-17 over my sister and I every single day, when we began having children she prayed… [Read More]

The days of weeping and mourning … were ended. Deuteronomy 34.8c Hard to believe 30 days have passed since my mother entered the gates of heaven. So much has transpired since October 27th. My sister, daughter, and I cleaned out her small one-bedroom apartment; special things were shared with special people. Hand-written recipe cards are… [Read More]

Kate said fix Today, I come to confess. Dun Dun D Kate said fix

Today, I come to confess.
Dun Dun Dun Dun…

I used to be a FIXER.

Family problems? Not to worry I will manage, manipulate, and fix it. The only problem? It gets expensive and very stressful.

Fixing is bad for your health.

I have learned

There is a Fixer better than myself. This Fixer can and will FIX anything and anyone IF you ask.
If you release.
If you give it up.
If you lay the object of fix on the altar of sacrifice.

Sometimes…

There is an immediate fix. Sometimes The Fixer will ask you to sit still and do nothing. Sometimes The Fixer will use you in the fix.
But THIS I know…

The Fixer really doesn’t need any help from me.

So, What Does One Do?

We pray and our prayers keep The Fixer involved, on the scene, and in the situation.

The Fixer

Do you know Him?

But may the God of all grace [THE FIXER], who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5.10-11

Who or what are YOU trying to fix? Give them/it to The Fixer!
