Abundance – An Update & A Giveaway!

October 20, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

One Word 2020 I wonder if anyone thought choosing abundance as my one word 2020 was on the arrogant side. Did you? I almost did but Holy Spirit gave it to me and wouldn’t take it back. He’s not an Indian giver. And, He also gave me the scripture to go along with it… Listen to… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Mercy

MERCY

Kate said MERCY noun: compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16.34 Not to be confused with grace: The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners… [Read More]

The Throne Room of Heaven

The Throne Room of Heaven

Throne Room of Heaven I feel as though I should offer a disclaimer as I write from Revelation. I am NO Bible scholar – never went to seminary, but I do love to study The Word, read the notes, and pray to discern. Those are my credentials!!! Revelation 4 This chapter contains 11 verses. The… [Read More]

God Allows U-turns!

God Allows U-turns

Second-chance Sus’ That’s me! The Lord has shown me so much mercy in my life I feel like my nickname should be second-chance Sus’. Over and over again, He has picked me up out the mire, dusted me off, and set me back on my feet. God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,    … [Read More]

the heartbreak of God

December 16, 2015 by admin 40 Comments

As you know I get all kinds of excited when Holy Spirit reveals thoughts and truths to me. Such a moment came Sonday morning in worship. We have to go way back to the beginning…as in Genesis. The Word is clear that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit were present… [Read More]

corporate confession

July 15, 2015 by admin 20 Comments

Hosea 14.1-3 I thought I was shock-proof but yesterday proved me wrong. I watched a newscast last night showing a Planned Parenthood executive eating lunch and talking about selling organs and body parts from aborted babies as though she was discussing the price of tomatoes on the open market. I almost gagged. Then, as it settled,… [Read More]

do i believe?

February 4, 2015 by admin 29 Comments

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” Lamentations 3.22-24 I am such a morning person – love, love, love the morning time. Get up and immediately head… [Read More]

50 shades of grayce

January 29, 2014 by admin 32 Comments

No, not the book. I am a black and white kind of person, but somewhere between black and white is this vast range of grayce. I am coming to believe that is where mercy lives. Life experiences have mellowed me. I know the difference between right and wrong. I believe what the Bible says –… [Read More]

Kate said fix Today, I come to confess. Dun Dun D Kate said fix

Today, I come to confess.
Dun Dun Dun Dun…

I used to be a FIXER.

Family problems? Not to worry I will manage, manipulate, and fix it. The only problem? It gets expensive and very stressful.

Fixing is bad for your health.

I have learned

There is a Fixer better than myself. This Fixer can and will FIX anything and anyone IF you ask.
If you release.
If you give it up.
If you lay the object of fix on the altar of sacrifice.

Sometimes…

There is an immediate fix. Sometimes The Fixer will ask you to sit still and do nothing. Sometimes The Fixer will use you in the fix.
But THIS I know…

The Fixer really doesn’t need any help from me.

So, What Does One Do?

We pray and our prayers keep The Fixer involved, on the scene, and in the situation.

The Fixer

Do you know Him?

But may the God of all grace [THE FIXER], who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5.10-11

Who or what are YOU trying to fix? Give them/it to The Fixer!
