FMF RIGHT

Kate said RIGHT It seems an easy word to write a five minute essay on, right? Hmm. It’s Never Wrong TO DO RIGHT! My two grandchildren, now 23 and 17, have heard that saying since they were wee children. “It’s never wrong to do right.” It’s always wrong to do wrong.” It is always right… [Read More]

Kate said RESPECT \o/ I’m walking in singing… R-E-S-P-E-C-T Find out what it means to me… Oh yeah baby…nothing like a little jive from Aretha Franklin to shake up the room this morning! Five Minute Friday – Young

July 24, 2020 by admin 24 Comments

Young

Kate said young! Young! I am not that anymore. At heart, perhaps; but, definitely not physically. I will be 70 years old in October and I can hardly even believe or accept that – but there it is! Born in 1950…you do the math! One of my favorite, encouragements from God’s Word is this scripture… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Endure

July 10, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

ENDURE

Kate said endure This six-letter word was dropped into my soul (probably) 15 years ago. Holy Spirit-dropped. When The Lord speaks to me like He did back then, I listen with both my physical ears and my spiritual ears. Fifteen years ago, 2005, was a relatively “good” year for me. I had just self-published my… [Read More]

Kate said FRESH Here we go again! Adjective Adv Kate said FRESH

Here we go again!

Adjective Adverb Noun

The Very First

thing that went through my mind this morning?

Don’t be so fresh.

That is what my mom would say to anyone who said something crass, off-color, or…well, FRESH!
My mom was a character – my friend calls people like my mom, “Catbirds!”
I’m not even sure where my mom’s version of fresh fits in. Any help is appreciated!

Fresh

I do like the idea of something smelling fresh.
A fresh coat of paint.
A fresh outlook.
A fresh perspective.
It is fresh on my palette (regarding taste).
Sheets hung on the clothesline smell so fresh!

Look what I found…

They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.” Psalm 92.14-15

So…

At this point, on this dreary Friday morning – I am going to go have a fresh cuppa coffee. And, I intend to remain fresh and green, bearing fruit in my old age!!!
