Taking A Look Q. What is your favorite thing about Spring? A.  It isn’t winter! That little joke is dedicated to my friend Anita in Arizona. She thought it was funny so I’m hoping you do too! Here, in Upstate South Carolina, winter was 365 days long. It came in cold and wet, and it… [Read More]

Quarterly Report – 4th Q 2020

December 29, 2020 by admin 16 Comments

October 2020 October was a good month – I think partly because it’s my birthday month! My favorite color is OCTOBER! Our son and girlfriend came and stayed with us for a few days as they explored the area around Upstate SC. While they were here, the tiny house village had a Low Country Boil… [Read More]

A Book Review: HERE’S SOME HAPPY!

Here’s Some Happy: A Coloring Journal to Lift the Soul by Gina Graham My rating: 5 of 5 stars Definitely a “soul lifter” for the one who journals and colors! The illustrations are delightful and the scriptures inspiring. Once colored, and if not too personal, would make a beautiful coffee table book. I can’t wait… [Read More]

what i learned in october 2016

November 2, 2016 by admin 40 Comments

I love this blurry image because my October was just that – A BLUR! October is one of my favorite months. I suppose it’s because I was born on the 14th or perhaps because I like all things fall. This month has been a whirlwind with Write 31 Days and a very intense time of… [Read More]

what i learned in september 2016

September 28, 2016 by admin 28 Comments

What did I learn in September? Once again I learned I am nuts! LOL! Birthing a book. Preparing for Write 31 Days. Books to review. It was a month of frustration and angst. But, it’s over and once again, I survived. For a more specific breakdown of my breakdown, I offer the following! What I… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
