Destination: Uttermost

August 10, 2021 by admin 25 Comments

Destination: UTTERMOST! Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7.25 Every time I come across this scripture in my copy of DAILY LIGHT I highlight it and say out loud, “YES, LORD!” I have several people… [Read More]

What are we missing?

The thing about writing is we must be fully engaged with life in order to write. Maybe that isn’t so if you are a fiction writer with a wild, creative imagination; however, for me? I can take a walk and get writing material. So it was a week or so ago when I went to… [Read More]

Are you falling apart?

Are you falling apart? And He is before all things and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1.17 …who [Jesus Christ] being the brightness of His glory [God’s] and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power…Hebrews 1.3 …and you are complete in Him [Jesus Christ],… [Read More]

Boundaries

February 9, 2021 by admin 29 Comments

Boundaries A friend posted this quote on social media a week or so ago and, as usual, I took some time to process and ponder. Today, I want us to look at boundaries  – I cannot emphasize enough how important they are. Where there is no center, there is no circumference [boundaries]. Eugene Peterson Now,… [Read More]

The ONLY Difference

The Only Difference

The Only Difference Ever since all of the unrest in this country I have had numerous soul-searching moments. I have asked The Lord to search me and see if there be any wickedness in me (Psalm 139). I have asked my family members to point out things about me that are not right. (And, they have!!!) But… [Read More]

The Sin of Indifference

The Sin of Indifference

My Confession Sunday morning found us seated in the living room ready for church. Most of you know we have been watching Elevation Church online ever since the C19 quarantine. I cannot express enough how much I have enjoyed Pastor Steven Furtick’s messages. I believe he has received a special anointing for such a time… [Read More]

Quarterly Report 2020

First Quarter 2020 I am late but if truth be told I almost didn’t write this because, well, you know. But, I changed my mind because C19 isn’t going to hang my head in fear or shame! So, what did we do first quarter of this 2020 year of ABUNDANCE? (My 2020 word in… [Read More]

Just Give Me The Crumbs

The Desperate Woman A Gentile Shows Her Faith 21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” 23 But He answered her… [Read More]

Vision Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. Vision
Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. In gardening we envision fresh salads, delicious el dante French green beans, and juicy tomato sandwiches. 🍅 As a writer my vision is legacy. My story is one of peaks and valleys, potholes and narrow paths. There are chapters of shame and there are chapters of victory. God has used every single jot and tittle for my good and His glory. See that stack of books on the shelf? That's VISION. That's LEGACY.

Commitment Gardening takes commitment.. if you're Commitment
Gardening takes commitment.. if you're not in it to win it there's no sense in starting. Writing takes the same commitment. Currently, I have a partially completed work in progress. It's called "my brother is a saint." Right now I'm in a season of 'dry' but I'm still committed. See the first picture? It is a photo of Civil War dated garlic. 32 years ago hubs dug up 5 cloves in a field in Harpersville Alabama known for its Civil War / slavery roots. He carefully propagated it and has shared bulbs with many gardeners. That is commitment. My work in progress will get completed - I am committed.

Routine Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Routine
Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Every morning Farmer Hubster walks around the garden pruning, dead-heading, tying, and all the things it takes to have an abundant harvest. Writing requires time spent in reading, research, and WRITING. A popular author once said, "if you want to be a writer then you must write something every day." I attempt to do that. I like the routine of writing ✍️. #hopewriterlife
