Five Minute Friday – Important

January 7, 2022 by admin 23 Comments

Kate said important. The very first word of a new year. Important – and it is an important word. This morning when I opened my email and saw Kate’s choice I knew exactly where I would take my writing. It Is Important My writing life is very important to me. I have known I was… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Announce!

December 17, 2021 by admin 22 Comments

Kate said announce God chose the less than, the smelly and impoverished, shepherds to make the announcement that Messiah had been born. I love that about our God – He never looks at title or rank. He looks for the willing. My Announcement Kate’s word prompt is perfect today! I have an announcement too. On… [Read More]

Kate said behold! ‘Tis the Season to Behold Him! Fa La La La La La La La La! Behold! You will be mute and unable to speak! Behold! You will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.  Behold! The maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Expectation

December 3, 2021 by admin 14 Comments

Kate said expectation Such a great word prompt for December 3rd, 2021. I try hard not to live with expectations – it is my shield against disappointment. Writing that sounds so cynical, doesn’t it? Can you imagine? Living during those 400+ years between the Testaments? 400 years of silence from heaven. God said nothing. God… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Hide

November 19, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Hide and Seek You can run but you can’t hide! Those are the two thoughts which immediately popped into my mind when I saw the word prompt this morning. I spent a portion of my life hiding from the Lord because I was hell-bent on sinful living. I was a young, hurt Mom to three… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Wander

November 12, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Kate said wander All who wander are not lost! We have that on a coffee mug in the cupboard of our travel trailer, Gracee. And, oh how we have wandered over the years! Yesterday, hubs and I celebrated 39 years of togetherness. We have some wandering miles behind us.  Our number one love language is… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Prayer

November 5, 2021 by admin 16 Comments

Kate said prayer I learned a very long time ago that God made me exactly the way I am. Ants in pants, and all! So, to sit for hours and pray and/or intercede on behalf of someone/something is not easy for me. BUT, I pray all day long. There are nights, I pray all night… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
