Be Quiet & Listen

June 1, 2021 by admin 6 Comments

Job 38 It’s Tuesday after a 3-day weekend and I’m going to keep this short. But, instead of short and sweet – it will be short and profound! In the Old Testament book of Job – God speaks. He speaks loud and clear…directly to Job. Directly to me. Directly to you. Here’s your assignment…read Job… [Read More]

They’re Coming Home

May 25, 2021 by admin 14 Comments

They’re Coming Home This post is going to be all about Prodigals and the promises in the Bible that they are “coming home.” I’m an expert at Prodigals. You know why? I.Am.One. Today, isn’t about my story – it’s about HOPE. We all need true, biblical hope that our prodigals will “come home.” You may… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Middle

May 14, 2021 by admin 9 Comments

Kate said middle. Not the first and not the last but “stuck” in the middle. Is the middle really being stuck though? I don’t think so. I am on the other side of middle age now – and looking back I loved the middle. If I could freeze time at a certain age I would… [Read More]

The Desire For Discernment

April 20, 2021 by admin 16 Comments

Desiring Discernment My daughter advised me this past weekend that I needed to keep my mouth quiet about the Vaccine. She said it was too sensitive of an issue to speak publicly about. So, if anything I’ve said or posted has offended anyone please forgive me. I’ve made my stand on the whole Covid and… [Read More]

Why Did He Run?

November 17, 2020 by admin 27 Comments

New Revelation Is there anything better than new revelation? When something becomes clear and so very understandable. I sure do. This epiphany came this past Sunday morning as we streamed church. Right here in tiny house, Holy Spirit delivered a wollop! Ready? The Prodigal Son I have always loved the story of the lost son… [Read More]

October 27, 2020 by admin 20 Comments

Who Is Henry Heiny? Stay with me! Several months ago a blogger friend of mine posted a challenge on Facebook to list the last spam email you received on your blog. Faithful

Faithful

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2.13 Does that scripture bring you as much hope and encouragement as it does me? I write from a stature of great grace and humility – with a whole lot of mercy thrown in. You see, I am a former bad girl. I… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
