Happy Birthday 2021

October 12, 2021 by admin 14 Comments

Happy Birthday! Another rotation around the sun! And, what a spin it was! From October 14th, 2020 through October 14th, 2021 has been filled with some good, some bad, and some ugly. But, here we are — alive and well. The year included a lot of family time. Thanksgiving 2020 was so fun – we… [Read More]

We Are God’s Poem

October 5, 2021 by admin 18 Comments

God’s Poem Don’t you love when you learn something you didn’t know? It’s been staring at me for years but until Pastor Josh brought it out in a sermon I had no idea. Ephesians 2 For you faith people – I bet you’ve read this passage a zillion times – I know I have. Ready?… [Read More]

Hold The Salt!

September 14, 2021 by admin 24 Comments

Hold The Salt! As most of my readers know I was tagged with another title three weeks ago. Heart patient! I went to the hospital on August 21 and on August 22 I was told I had congestive heart failure. Shocked? Yes, I was. My hospital stay involved several firsts! A CATscan. An Echocardiogram. An… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Strong

July 16, 2021 by admin 17 Comments

Kate said strong. My first-born son was asked in an 11th Grade class, “Who is the strongest person you’ve ever met?” His answer was simply two words, “My mom.” I was floored when he told me that. Floored, and flattered! My first two kids went through the hard with me. The separation and the divorce…. [Read More]

Glory To Glory

June 29, 2021 by admin 24 Comments

I Mean Really When your friend says that – what do you say? God bless you. He holds the whole world in His hands. If it’s God’s will… I’ll pray. God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Although, those statements are true – they just don’t roll right off your tongue… [Read More]

5 Words That Can Change Your Life

June 22, 2021 by admin 21 Comments

Just 5 Words But He gives more grace. James 4.6a Last night I laid in bed thinking about what I’d blog about this week. As most know I haven’t been operating with a full tank! But I’m getting stronger and there is hope of healing on the horizon. My mind was buzzing with memories of… [Read More]

Let’s Talk About Healing

June 8, 2021 by admin 11 Comments

Talking About Healing He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107.20 Yes, I believe in faith-healing. I also believe in supernatural healing. The laying on of hands? O! Yes! Anointing with oil? Yes, Lord. Years Ago… Many years ago I sat on a hard bench at Community Church, Mountain City… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Slow

June 4, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Kate said slow. Funny, I’ve used the expression “slow and steady” several times recently. I would rather be known for slow, steady, sure, and steadfast than fast and furious and full of hot air!!! The Turtle and the Hare You know the story. The bunny rabbit gets totally burned out and Mr. Turtle wins the… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
