what i learned in july 2016

August 3, 2016 by admin 40 Comments

Maybe I should change this post to “What I Did in …” Although I am a firm believer that one never outgrows learning new things; however, I’m not sure I learned anything BRAND NEW!!! It certainly is fun and challenging to write this post and I’m not going to stop now. HA! July 2016 was… [Read More]

Emily Freeman has posted her What I Learned linkup and I’m ready to think back and see if I learned anything new in November. It would be a terrible waste of 30 days if I didn’t. College football is so much more fun and engaging than pro ball. My daughter, two grandchildren, and I have been… [Read More]

Emily P. Freeman does this linkup every month and it helps me to look back at the month and remember! That may sound silly but sometimes one can get to the beginning of a new month and say where did “blank” just go? I learned a few things in October, here we go! And, a… [Read More]

The very first thing I learned this month is if I had blinked twice, I would have missed it! Did September blur by for you as well? My goodness, it was like 1-2-3 and it’s gone. Another lesson I learned and I’m still learning as I type? Too much rain and gray sky makes this… [Read More]

When the calendar page flips over to a new month it’s time for “what I learned”, linking up at Emily P. Freeman’s. By the way, Emily, has a new book out called, Simply Tuesday, which is getting rave reviews. It’s on my winter stack of books to read! August was a good month. Not sure I… [Read More]

What did I learn in July? This month has zoomed by – not one entry in my journal but I know I learned a few things! Emily Freeman has her linkup posted and it is helpful to write these things down. I will attempt to summarize my July! If you know me well, you know… [Read More]

what i learned in june

July 2, 2015 by admin 10 Comments

I woke up this morning and after about five seconds remembered my crazy dream! It is rare I remember details about my dreams but this morning I did. I was at an event with Emily Freeman and her sister, Myquillyn The Nester Smith! It may have been in Myquillyn’s famous “barn”. I’m not sure but… [Read More]

Emily Freeman, a fellow North Carolina sister, writes over at Chatting in the Sky, (honestly) one of my favorite blogs and offers the “what I learned” linkup (hmm, linkup isn’t working this month!) each month. I enjoy doing this because it causes me to reflect on the month and think on things I would normally… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
