The Sin of Indifference

The Sin of Indifference

My Confession Sunday morning found us seated in the living room ready for church. Most of you know we have been watching Elevation Church online ever since the C19 quarantine. I cannot express enough how much I have enjoyed Pastor Steven Furtick’s messages. I believe he has received a special anointing for such a time… [Read More]

Hosea 14.1-3 I thought I was shock-proof but yesterday proved me wrong. I watched a newscast last night showing a Planned Parenthood executive eating lunch and talking about selling organs and body parts from aborted babies as though she was discussing the price of tomatoes on the open market. I almost gagged. Then, as it settled,… [Read More]

April 10, 2015 by admin 17 Comments

The writers have converged over at Kate’s and created masterful essays on this week’s one-word prompt, which happens to be RELIEF. When I saw the word the very first thing that popped in this 60-something brain was… Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is! Many of you are too young to remember… [Read More]

There’s been a lot of talk about being brave. In fact, Annie Downs just released a book called Let’s All Be Brave: Living Life With Everything You Have.  This past week I was at my daughter’s – she had surgery on the 19th and I was blessed to be able to go and run the household… [Read More]

true confessions: MESS

June 5, 2013 by admin 8 Comments

Haven’t joined in with the writers at Lisa-Jo Baker’s 5-minute Friday in a while, I thought today I’d come out of hiding and write on the prompt: MESS; funny, how nemesis kind of sounds like mess and my laundry room is mine. I consider myself a fairly organized person but there is a room that… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
