God’s Peace Will Be Upon Your Children. Praying for our children in Autumn. The season of change is upon us. Prayer changes things because prayer changes us! L.I.S.T. for September 2017

October 4, 2017 by admin 46 Comments

It’s that time in the month to look where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing. I enjoy this exercise very much. It keeps me accountable to myself, in a weird way. September was an interesting month. Up’s and Down’s and a few all-around’s but now that it’s “in the books” I can see it… [Read More]

what i learned in december

December 30, 2015 by admin 34 Comments

Soon, Emily P Freeman will open her linkup “What I Learned in December” and I thought I’d get a jump start today on the 29th, as I write this. I think if one doesn’t learn something in December, one might not be “learnable” – yes, I know that is not a word but it fits!… [Read More]

back to the abc’s

August 19, 2015 by admin 29 Comments

I guess it’s safe to say that all writers love letters, words, books, creating outlines, and all the etcetera’s in-between! I find safety in these things – things I can read and form. Put a tray of letter tiles in front of me and suddenly I am forming words, names, places. When I was young… [Read More]

who’s left standing?

July 8, 2015 by admin 27 Comments

I’ve been stewing for a couple of weeks. stew: to undergo cooking  thinking and pondering, by simmering or slow boiling. I am not a country music fan but I am familiar with the lyrics by Aaron Tipton, You’ve Got to Stand for Something or You’ll Fall for Anything. If you’re familiar, you can guess where I’m going. And, I’m… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
