Faithful

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2.13 Does that scripture bring you as much hope and encouragement as it does me? I write from a stature of great grace and humility – with a whole lot of mercy thrown in. You see, I am a former bad girl. I… [Read More]

Tasty Tuesday: Welcome Patti Krank

June 20, 2017 by admin 6 Comments

I met Patti at the ALLUME Writers Conference in October of 2015 – I liked her immediately. She is savvy, smart, and has a happy, contagious outlook! Her blog, OLD THINGS NEW, describes two things: 1. What Jesus does with us when He redeems us as His own; and, 2. Taking old ‘things’ and making… [Read More]

A Faith Blogger’s Disclaimer

May 24, 2017 by admin 76 Comments

This was not supposed to be today’s post. I’ve had Wednesday’s, May 24th post penciled in my planner for three weeks. It’s a hard one to write and I know I’m supposed to write it because it was confirmed, first-hand, at the Dollar General this past Saturday morning. However, the Spirit of God dropped this… [Read More]

tiptoe through the blog posts – trying not to step on toes

July 27, 2012 by admin 17 Comments

I am old enough to remember the song, Tiptoe Through the Tulips. And, I remember that horrid rendition by Tiny Tim…..I think it’s important to keep in mind that I AM old enough to remember these things – because way back when, life seemed simpler and far less complicated. Mom’s were Mom’s, either stay-at-home Mom’s or working… [Read More]

Hubs was tending his garden bed out in the corner of the common area and almost stepped on this Momma lake turtle, laying her eggs. He went away and returned hours later and found she had dampened the area and laid sticks on top! He framed it out in pic 3. 60 day incubation and then all those wee turtles will find their way back to the lake!!! How cool is that? #lakelife #tinyhousebiglife #fromfarmtoflat2tinyhouse
Yellow doors scream, "You are welcome here! Come i Yellow doors scream, "You are welcome here! Come in! Rest and peace are found within these doors!" 5 years ago this month we left this house, our home for 30 years. We raised one son here, and for A LOT of summers, the old squeaky screendoor opened and closed with the joy of grandkids. Fireflies, a front porch bat, pussycats, dogs, goats, turkeys, and oinkers grazed the 14 acres. The ring of a blacksmith's anvil clanged for years as my husband designed and created beautiful ironwork. The best goat cheese hung from cheesecloth in its kitchen. Puzzles took shape on the old dining table, and Mexican Train domino challenges snaked along its patina'd surface. Blueberries were picked. Grapes simmered and bubbled into homebrew! But seasons change. Kids grow and leave home. We grew and left. Happy memories. Love grew there, and for that, we are forever blessed. Sweet, sweet memories.
