Dear Ma, Happy birthday! If you were still here on earth, you’d be 97. Let me give you a run-down of the past year. Maybe you already know all of this, but I’ll tell you anyway. Lowell & I are as fine as good wine! We love living in our tiny home and traveling about… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday

Kate said, “Anniversary.” Seems a strange word to write a five-minute essay on, doesn’t it? Unless you’re having one. anniversary, that is. There are anniversaries of all sorts of things. Happy things. Sad things. Silly things. Spiritual things. I remember dates. Therefore, I have a lot of “anniversaries” floating in my internal computer. Even a… [Read More]

11.11.2015 Happy Anniversary to us! Boyfriend, we’ve been through it, haven’t we? Crazy us, wed in a tepee! We’ve been up, down, sideways, inside-out but we always end up standing… Together, side-by-side. Together, year-after-year. We’ve seen broken necks and halo braces, Buckskin leathers and pretty laces. We’ve had famine and feast, Goats, turkeys, and a… [Read More]

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
