Five Minute Friday – Ahead

November 6, 2020 by admin 26 Comments

What’s Ahead? “Anything coming?” Hubs asks as we drive along a two-lane country road. “Nope, all clear to pass.” I reply. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could say that about the future in America? But, we cannot. When All Truth Is Told… Not one of us knows what is ahead. No one can ‘guess’… [Read More]

He found Philip in Bethsaida and invited him to, “Follow Me.” It is believed that Philip immediately went to his friend Nathaniel, aka as Bartholomew, and excitedly told him that he had found The Man that Moses and the prophets had prophesied about, Jesus of Nazareth,… [Read More]

Abundance & Stewardship

Let’s Go Down A Few Rabbit Trails! I remember a long time ago when my husband and I were in great need, financial need. He was driving 18-wheelers cross-country and had a bad accident, which rendered him home for many months. I was not working outside the home at the time – I was running… [Read More]

One Word 2020

One Word 2020 If you are one to have a one word for the year – do you select one or do you allow the word/principle to select you? And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Mattias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles. Acts 1.26 And they chose Stephen…whom they… [Read More]

Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for Even retired, I love weekends. Sunny and warm for us is a bonus! This particular weekend is sweet and sorrow mixed. We get to travel a couple of hours with Gracee in tow, Lowell gets to see his civil war armaments comrades, and we will have lots of time with favorite grandson, Simon. But, we also bear the sorrow of missing our friend, Jimmy Reavis, at his celebration of life. James left this earth on March 13th after a battle with cancer, chemo, and its horrid side effects. It's a weekend of hello's and good-bye's. Life is like that, isn't it? I'm so grateful for the Hope my faith provides. Cannot imagine a weekend like this without it. 💔 ❤️
