Five Minute Friday: POTENTIAL

September 28, 2018 by admin 18 Comments

FMF. Potential. What's mine?

Kate said, “POTENTIAL.” Tricky word, potential. We all have it. But we all don’t use it. As I went through the clicks to get here and begin typing my mind was processing the word. I don’t allow myself to mull over it overnight – like an aged apple cider. I want the words fresh pressed…. [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: ADAPT

May 4, 2018 by admin 24 Comments

(I adored this photo from Unsplash – it was tagged “waving,” – you could’ve fooled me – these folks are having a praise the Lord fest.) Kate said, “Adapt.” 00:00 How good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to dwell in unity. Psalm 133.1 How good it is when they adapt. Over half… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: ROUTINE

March 23, 2018 by admin 20 Comments

Kate said ROUTINE. 00:00 We all have one. Routine, that is. On Thursday night I do my nightly things, I get in bed with the heating pad on, I prop my three pillows just so. I scoot Sam down to the foot of the soft comforter. I grab my Kindle. I check final emails from… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: BEAUTY

February 23, 2018 by admin 14 Comments

Kate said… 00:00 The Beauty of a Life Well-lived This week as news came that Billy Graham had entered the gates of Heaven my first reaction was… Wow, there is a party going on in glory! And, I am certain there was. Billy, who has spent the last several years in the tremors of Parkinson’s… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: AGREE

February 2, 2018 by admin 22 Comments

Kate said … Agree? And, I must agree, AGREE is a great word to write five minutes on. 00:00 This post will probably be all over the place. I am big on commitment. IF I agree to do something – I can just about promise I WILL DO IT. Now, if sickness or God forbid… [Read More]

Kate said fix Today, I come to confess. Dun Dun D Kate said fix

Today, I come to confess.
Dun Dun Dun Dun…

I used to be a FIXER.

Family problems? Not to worry I will manage, manipulate, and fix it. The only problem? It gets expensive and very stressful.

Fixing is bad for your health.

I have learned

There is a Fixer better than myself. This Fixer can and will FIX anything and anyone IF you ask.
If you release.
If you give it up.
If you lay the object of fix on the altar of sacrifice.

Sometimes…

There is an immediate fix. Sometimes The Fixer will ask you to sit still and do nothing. Sometimes The Fixer will use you in the fix.
But THIS I know…

The Fixer really doesn’t need any help from me.

So, What Does One Do?

We pray and our prayers keep The Fixer involved, on the scene, and in the situation.

The Fixer

Do you know Him?

But may the God of all grace [THE FIXER], who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5.10-11

Who or what are YOU trying to fix? Give them/it to The Fixer!
