Silent No More
I sat in his corner office, as I had many times before, and we discussed (of all things) politics.
I so didn’t want to go there – but it was there we went.
He asked, “So do you allow your religious convictions to influence the way you vote?”
My religious convictions influence every single thing in my life because THEY ARE MY LIFE. Those convictions and beliefs are who I am. They not only define me they are me.
“Hmm, I see – I don’t get it but I certainly hear what you are saying.”
That was twenty years ago. Age. Wisdom. Experience…later.
I’m even more dogmatic about it.
It is always wrong to do wrong.
On Monday, the United States Senate voted to NOT ban infanticide. (You can see how your state senators voted here.) This allows medical care to be denied to a living, breathing, helpless human being. In other words, stick the baby in a closet and allow it to die. Or, put it in a bucket of solution and let its skin burn off until death occurs. Or, slit its throat. Or, bash its head in. Or…
I promised myself years ago, when I began to blog that I would never make Hope Heart Home a political podium; however, this is not politics this is morality and life itself. It is despicable. Deplorable. It is worse than worse.
“A voice was heard in Ramah,
