God’s Peace Will Be Upon Your Children.
Praying for our children in Autumn.
The season of change is upon us.
Prayer changes things because prayer changes us!

The quiet hour of prayer is one of the most favorable opportunities He has in which to speak to us seriously. In quietude and solitude before the face of God our souls can hear better than at any other time. O.Hallesby
When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? Job 34.29
On Sonday’s I linkup with other Sunday Thoughts over at Mom-gene!
I love the early morning quiet times, even though I tend to do my best praying in the evening.
I’m a washout in the evening, Barb… Early in the morning I seek Him. xo
I’m not naturally a morning person, but early mornings has almost always been my best time to spend with the Lord. I love the quietness and relative solitude. I feel disoriented if I start the day without that time.
Me too – just a few moments if that’s all I have.
I’m with you, Susan, at my best early in the morning. Even now I’m retired, I like getting up before 5 a.m. My whole day goes better when I schedule enough quiet time in the morning with God instead of rushing.
Early birds…we are!
I am not a morning person but am learning how to make space for quiet time with God in the morning before everything gets rolling. It’s easier now that all I have to do is make breakfast and send the guys on their way! Thank you for the beautiful encouragement to find that time!
I knew there would be an “owl” in the crowd!!!
Morning + quiet = happy!!! Sunday mornings have become my favorite. Our church now meets at 5 PM on Sundays because we share a space with another church. I wasn’t sure what to think but I really like it.
Now, that is different – I bet that is kind of nice to end the weekend in the Lord’s house. I like it! I like you!
I have to pray in the morning…my brain gets muddled by night. I do pray with the kids at bedtime, but I do my best praying FOR THEM in the dark hours before sunrise.
AMEN, Jamie. I do a lot of praying that time also.
I’m an early bird ;). Octobers are difficult, though, because no matter how much I seem to get ahead for write 31 days, by mid-month I am no longer ahead. So I get up even earlier!
It’s a hard 31 days, Anita.
