It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
to declare Your steadfast love in the morning,
and Your faithfulness by night…Psalm 92.1-2
I love how our focus turns to gratitude, gratefulness, and thanks-giving this time of year. And, it should! November is the foreward to the Great Advent of Jesus Christ and there is nothing nor no one we should be more grateful for!
This week it is my prayer for each of you to experience God’s goodness in a very tangible way. That can look like different things to different people – but, and this is where we have to be pro-active….LOOK FOR HIM. Some of us think we have to go to church to see Him – that just isn’t true. Look for Him. Seek Him. Be ready to experience Him. He may just sneak up on you with a whisper, a nudge, or a breeze. He could be on the sandy shore. On a city sidewalk. In a homeless shelter. At your dinner table! Don’t overthink it – just enjoy it and live in the moment with Him.
Give thanks with a grateful heart.
Give thanks to the Holy One.
Give thanks.
He gave us His All.

I wanted everyone to be able to have a chance to read The 31 Days of Christmas – the full color book was a little pricey on Amazon so I made a black and white version and it’s available now. It is a wonderful Advent Devotional for grown-ups! Let the little’s have their felt stockings and cut outs and calendar but YOU? Go between the lines of The Word for some (maybe) new insights about the life and times of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. The pages have a lot of whitespace and if you are one of those who like to do journal art and doodles? Get your colored pencils and have a ball! If you click on the image below it will take you to Amazon and this book is $9.99 – a little gift for yourself this holiday season! Go ahead, indulge a little!
Great reminder! Love the graphic!

This is priceless!
One of my daughters is getting very upset that my other daughter is ready to get right to Christmas … “Thanksgiving is having its feelings hurt!” … lol. I love how you combine the two here … because YES … the gift of Jesus Christ is the most important thing / One to be thankful for! Praying God’s blessings on you and your family this week, Susan!
Thank you Dianne, and I do hope you get to make those Pralines!
A blessed Thanksgiving to you, my dear friend.
