In my very old Bible you will find this:
Saved July 8 1959 Baptized November 10 1975
Saved February 1 1977
Baptized February 6 1977
In looking back I am confident that as an almost-9 year old girl kneeling in the side yard of our Buckley Avenue home I sincerely asked Jesus into my heart. My heart was broke open that day and Jesus came. Over the years I began to question my salvation – not sure if I was listening to the Spirit or a hell-fire preacher but I got saved again, just in case.
In 1992 I decided since my heart belonged to Him? I needed my whole.entire.life. to belong to Him. So I got off the proverbial fence and began camping out on God’s side. I’ve never looked back.
Whether it happened on the 8th day of July 1959 or the 1st day of February 1977, one thing I’m sure of.
IT HAPPENED. And my sins and shortcomings were swept away.
As far as the east is from the west.
It’s a promise.
I Am Born-Anew. Washed Clean. Not Guilty.
By the sufficiency of the blood of Jesus.
