What does that even mean? The Truth will set you FREE? Those are red words in the Gospel, which means Jesus Himself said it. Jesus also said in the Gospel of John that He was The Truth! Ah…now it’s beginning to make more sense.
The Truth, JESUS, will make me FREE.
FREE of what?
Let’s talk! When we get serious about Jesus Christ and His atoning work on that wooden crossbeam two-thousand years ago and we place ourselves at the foot of that cross and stand naked – oh sure with clothes on – but naked in spirit and we lay ourselves and our sinfulness, our helplessness, and our guilty selves and say, “God, I can’t do it on my own – I need You in my life. Please take my sins and my shame and cast them in the depths of the sea. Forgive me and come into my life.”
THAT is our moment of FREEDOM.
Free of guilt.
Free of shame.
Free of condemnation.
And we gain: PEACE. JOY. ETERNAL LIFE. FREEDOM from FEAR.
Man, who wouldn’t want that? My daughter lives in this FREEDOM bolder than anyone I know. FEAR does not dominate her, her thoughts, her actions, her plans or purpose – SHE LIVES FREE. It is amazing to see!
The Lord Jesus Christ did that for her.
He can do it for you too.
Let The Truth set you FREE today!

Such a power-packed message today, Susan!
Hi June – thank you. It’s “truth.” Thanks for coming by.
I agree with June. Great message delivered in a tiny package.
Blessings!
It’s those “small” packages, amen?
Amen, amen, amen! These reminders never get old!
They never do, do they!
Free of what? That is a great question to ask of this verse. And great answers! Who wants guilt, shame, condemnation? Not me! So grateful that Christ has set us free from that. Now my part is to keep throwing those things away instead of collecting them.
LISA, AMEN, SISTER!!!
Freedom in Christ is one of my favorite God truths Susan!
Absolutely! Especially because I was raised in such a legalistic church environment!
Beautiful words and truths, Susan! I’m so thankful for the power of God that gives us freedom!
An attitude of thanksgiving – want to live there every day!
Preach it, Pastor Susan! The devil really likes to keep dragging that carcass of guilt around for us to trip over and he hopes we’ll pick it up. Just say no! We are FREE!
YES WE ARE FREE INDEED!!!
Such a great promise. Whom the Son sets FREE is FREE indeed. I am so thankful for the freedom found in Jesus Christ!
