Let’s do the math!
A New Year brings endless possibilities. I believe God is always looking to do something new in me – the bigger picture: the world, political situations, global affairs are pretty well settled and I know the end of the story as documented in God’s Word. But God is a God of people, of relationship and connection and I believe there is always something He’d like to do in me.
So in 2019 I want to be open to hear Him. To see Him. To receive from Him what He wants to do. I want information to become new revelation in me.
I want it for you too but only you can control that by being open, and willing, to be transformed by the power of God.
God is not pushy or obnoxious – He loves being invited in.
Invite Him into your 2019. His RSVP is always a YES and no regrets!
The quiet hour of prayer is one of the most favorable opportunities He has in which to speak to us seriously. In quietude and solitude before the face of God our souls can hear better than at any other time. O.Hallesby
When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? Job 34.29
Don’t be caught devotional-deficient on January 1, 2019. One for the kiddo’s and one for Mom. Both on Amazon!
Amen
Amen. Yes Lord.
I am singing the old hymn “Sweet Hour of Prayer” now. Thank you for this encouragement.
What a wealth we have before us. Prayer is indeed the best start to any day. We are changing up our regular of reading through the Bible in a year to one of prayer, careful reflection on several scriptures in the Epistles and a Psalm. Loving it so far!

Now I’m singing the song from the musical Rent! “How do you measure, measure a year…in daylights, in sunsets, in cups of coffee..”
Endless possibilities! I wonder how God will work in my life and what things He will show me and lead me to this year. It’s exciting to know that He wants to use us for His glory! Blessings to you, dear Susan. xoxo
