This winter, Quietude will feature ten titles of God. All of us have titles: daughter, sister, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, wife; God has literally hundreds of titles: The Rock, The I Am, Lily of the Valley, Bright and Morning Star, Friend, and the list is long! We will look at ten, maybe 12, in as many weeks ahead.
Exodus 15.26 The God Who Heals “Jehovah Rapha”
The quiet hour of prayer is one of the most favorable opportunities He has in which to speak to us seriously. In quietude and solitude before the face of God our souls can hear better than at any other time. O.Hallesby
When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? Job 34.29
On Sonday’s I linkup with other Sunday Thoughts over at Mom-gene!
I had a poster in college that listed all the different names of Christ.
Neat poster.
I love meditation on the Names of God.
I believe He likes it when we do too!
Meditation on the names of God can remind us just how much He cares. It makes me want to praise Him more.
Blessings to you, Susan! I’m your neighbor at Barbie’s linkup today! Love you! xo
Hi Gayl, thank you for coming by…
I love this verse in Job. I want to write down this link up; not sure I’ve ever participated yet.
Love ya!!
Megs, it’s a good linkup with phenomenal posts by Jamie.
I just began another journey through Exodus. Today was chapter 3 when the Lord tells Moses His name is “I Am”. No matter which of His names we use, what matters is whether He is our ALL IN ALL. Thanks for sharing your insights, Susan!
