Have you ever been caught in a storm in the middle of an ocean? I remember as a little girl being on my father’s boat, in the ocean, when an unexpected storm blew us about – I would have loved a cave to hide in, to protect us from the pending danger – but there was none. Instead, two little scared girls hung on to each for dear life praying we would be safe.
Those two little girls are grown up now and we’ve both weathered our share of storms, more like Class 5 hurricanes, if truth be told. We still hold on to one another, although miles separate us. Yet, when Hope is the bond of hearts, and prayers are the feet to Faith, those two little girls? They know the best Hiding Place.
He surrounds us.
Pause, and think about that this Sabbath.
