Life is ….a seeking, a searching for answers. A restless yearning for Truth and Understanding. A need for Unconditional Love, Acceptance and Approval. The filling of a Void that only God can fill. Life is ….a desire. To Understand. To Explore, Experience and go through Circumstances beyond our control. The Anticipation of Responses and… [Read More]

tiptoe through the blog posts – trying not to step on toes

July 27, 2012 by admin 17 Comments

I am old enough to remember the song, Tiptoe Through the Tulips. And, I remember that horrid rendition by Tiny Tim…..I think it’s important to keep in mind that I AM old enough to remember these things – because way back when, life seemed simpler and far less complicated. Mom’s were Mom’s, either stay-at-home Mom’s or working… [Read More]

reading tea bag tags

July 18, 2012 by admin 2 Comments

I like sleepy tea – I bought a box of Yogi tea bags and each one has a message on the little string tag. For some (weird) reason, I saved every tag. So, here we go: May you have love, kindness and compassion for all living things. Inspiring others towards happiness brings you happiness. When… [Read More]

July 12, 2012 by admin 5 Comments

My grandkids and I went to see Brave yesterday. Another spectacular Disney Pixar Production. I don’t know about you, but Pixar absolutely draws me in and I begin believing these little munchkin characters are real people! The movie is set in a “tribal” Scotland – Merida, the beautiful red-haired princess is about to be married to… [Read More]

4-leaf clovers and god

June 14, 2012 by admin Leave a Comment

What does God and a four-leaf clover have in common? If you seek them, you will find them. God said, “If you seek Me with your whole heart, you WILL find Me.” I absolutely love to look for, and find,  four-leaf clovers. I couldn’t breathe if I didn’t seek God every day of my life…. [Read More]

Kate said green I am entering the room reciting a Kate said green

I am entering the room reciting a poem – one of my favorite reads when my children were small. Ready?

Green eggs and ham? I do not Like them, Sam-I-am. Could you, would you, With a goat? I would not, Could not. With a goat! Would you, could you, On a boat? I could not, would not, on a boat. I will not, will not, with a goat. I will not eat them in the rain. I will not eat them on a train. Not in the dark! Not in a tree! – Dr. Seuss

What a cynical world we live in. I will never stop quoting Dr. Seuss. And, if I ever have another grandchild? They will be read the wonderful lyrics of Dr. Seuss.

Green

I happen to like the color green – for me it represents life and growth. Green grass. Green trees. Green turtles. Each filled with life. I like green. It’s my cousin’s favorite color. Her family home was full of green!

Green Hope

And, I will end my five minute essay with “MY” verse. The HOPE verse that changed me. It’s from the Message translation…

Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! Romans 15.13

What does green conjure up in you?
