11.1.11
Next time that happens it will be 11.1.111 (WOW!)
I like the number 11 – it rhymes with heaven.
Today is the first day of November.
I like November. I don’t love it but I do like it.
Sharpshooter and I celebrate our anniversary on the eleventh – 11.11.11
The set-apart day to give thanks falls on the 24th – I’m learning to give thanks every single day – for something.
I have a lovely four-day weekend to work on a project.
I get to eat mashed potatoes and gravy, oh yes, and stuffing!
I am going to make autumn leaf cut-outs from construction paper, because I can!
I have two very sad memories to mark days this month.
I will cry this month – for my friend.
11.1.11
I will call November the “eucharisteo month”. In our recent bookclub book, “One Thousand Gifts”, Ann Voskamp writes that, “Eucharisteo always, always precedes the miracle”. “Thanksgiving creates abundance; and the miracle of multiplying happens when I give thanks – take the just one loaf, say it is enough and give thanks – and He miraculously makes it more than enough”, wrote Ann. Being thankful this month precedes the most wonderful Miracle of all, the Birth of Jesus, Our Savior. Hallelujah!
“Being thankful this month precedes the most wonderful Miracle of all, the Birth of Jesus, Our Savior. Hallelujah!” YES YES YES – that is November…..great point. Thank you, daughter of mine.
Today is “one of my sad days to mark in this month” – my former mother-in-law passed away ten years ago…. Hockey score? My husband is a huge hockey fan and that would be quite a phenomenal score for a hockey game!!!!!! Thank you for always commenting – it is one of things I love!
11/11/11 I will celebrate the birthdays of my son and a very special friend who lives in Colorado. Actually I will only send cards but just thinking about them reminds me of how very blessed I am that they are both in my life. They are a delight and true reflections of the one who gives us our lives, our breath, and everything we have and are. To You Lord Jesus I give eternal thanks.
I just Love November! Thanksgiving is one of my all time favorite. I’ m so thankful for lazy snowing days in Nov., or Dec with a hot cup of tea, and watching the snow come down. November is the time to sit and take it easy and reflect on our blessings, even if its just watching the kids play and change your house around. Blessed I truly am!
HM, we are a blessed people!
11-1-11 would have been our Grandpa Daugherty’s 100th birthday. He went home to be with the Lord in 2008. So on the first, we reminisced about Grandpa…there are some funny stories about him, he was a great Dad and Grandpa, and he loved the Lord!
