For the past several days I’ve been feeling guilty for not blogging – my “well” isn’t dry, yet nothing seemed writing-worthy. Then, this morning I signed my daughter’s Mother’s Day card and used her life acronym, F.A.I.T.H. (Firmly Anchored In Trusting Him); then, I read today’s entries in Daily Light and two scriptures jumped off the page. …how is it that you have no faith? (Mark 4:40) and, Have faith in God (Mark 11:22).
And then I remembered. Four years ago, almost to the day was my daughter’s special delivery day! No baby was born; no special mail came; but, it was her divine appointment day with the Creator of the Universe! She went from professing Christ to possessing Him. She was born anew and filled up to the brim with His Holy Spirit. Whoo-hoo! What a glorious day! What a day of transformation! What a day of a-ha, epiphany, and revelation all rolled up in one confession, “Jesus, I confess You as Lord of my life. I repent and turn away from all sin and screw-ups and the mess of my life. Make me clean and new and fill me with Yourself.”
Addictions, bad choices, and sinful shame walked into the small Assembly of God church that Mother’s Day morning – a radiant, righteous, royal daughter of the Most High God, clean and shiny, born-anew, walked out.
Happy Mother’s Day and my prayer for every person reading is that you live every day in F.A.I.T.H.
Firmly Anchored In Trusting Him!
And, happy born-anew birthday to Marni Ann!
