Memorial Day weekend will definitely go down in our family history book as bitter-sweet!
First the bitter:
While I was outside doing yard work Friday afternoon Hubs was ringing our house phone off the hook. When I finally picked up the call it was an hour or so after the above. We’re waiting for the adjuster’s report – but we think it will be D.O.A.
Saturday morning brought post accident blues, but we got out in the beautiful weather and got the yardwork done. We push mow about one acre of grass and string-trim miles (well, maybe not miles but it sure seems like it when you’re the one standing behind the weedeater!) – together makes the task much easier!
After yardwork on Saturday, we decided to get out of Dodge and we headed south to daughter’s. She and her husband take good care of us and feed us well! We had a peaceful time of relaxation, worship at The Cove, several neighborhood walks, warm sunshiny afternoon nap, and lots of good food!
When we got home from our weekend, the three baby Phoebe’s were about falling out of the corner nest. The very next day they all flew the nest and began life on their own. I have scrubbed and sprayed the area. You would not believe the poo and doo three little feathered friends can make in the span of 13 days!!!
I hope you enjoyed the photo blog – I have several really good posts brewing in this brain and heart of mine but just couldn’t pull it all together. Hope your weekend was uneventful and full of joy!

Linked with Three Word Wednesday today!
I loved seeing the pictures (except the wrecked car, of course!) and give praise to God for no injuries resulting from that accident.
Love you!
Kathy
You’ve spent some time on this porch, haven’t you Kath’?
Oh, what a charming and welcoming porch you have! Absolutely gorgeous, love the brick and also the wood ceilings. So sorry about that car business, that stinks, glad no one was hurt!

Love the glimpse into your life! And I love that front porch – although, I agree, back-door friends are the best! 🙂 Thanks for linking up at #ThreeWordWednesday.
