It’s that special time of the month when we share what we Learned. What Inspired us. What Soul-satisfying Things were in our lives this first month of summertime! I always rely on my day planner to help me out with this post. 30 days of remembering is a lot! Our June has been semi-quiet. Busy as bees and hopefully, as productive. Let’s get the list out and begin! Preface each with, “I am…”
- Loving: Summertime. Sunshine. Early morning light. Iced coffee. Hydrangeas. Supper on the porch.
- Reading: Remarkable Faith. (Affiliate) link to the book on Amazon is here. I really like this book by Shauna Letellier, she weaves story from between the lines of Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles in His faithful followers. That is something I love to do and when someone else does it, and does it well, it’s a win-win read for me!
- Shopping for: An appliance extension cord. Exciting, right? Found one on Amazon for $6
- Excited about: The upcoming four-day weekend. Thank you 4th of July for being on a Tuesday this year.
- Trying to: Process through some hard things. Praying hard.
- Working on: Getting all the launch team blog give-away’s mailed out. #52commands
- Enjoying: Same as loving.
- Using: My stamina treadmill. Every weekday morning.
- Wearing: shorts and capris
- Planning: Thinking about a girlfriend soiree. And, my next book.
- Singing: Been making up a lot of songs. Ask Hannah and Simon!
- Needing: Motivation
- Learning: Over and over and over again: GAKAT. God Already Knew About This (or That)
- Listening to: Can’t change that Hillsong Worship channel on Pandora. Can’t do it. And, podcasts! My friend, Tammy (who blogs here) is a podcast snob!!! And, she’s got me hooked. When I am dying on the treadmill, I listen to inspiring, edifying podcasts on the iPad. Thank you, Tammy for your list!
- Wishing for: Resolution for my friend’s family issue (serious stuff).
- Doing: Not much of anything. As little as possible.
- Dreaming: 2020Vision. Still water.
- Hoping for: 3 John 4
- DIY project: all on hold until fall. Hubs is doing a ton of home maintenance.
- Not crazy about: Bad choices of adult children.
I am grateful to the launch team for 52 Commands of Jesus for Children – the 25 bloggers did a jam-up job of promoting the book. I believe in this book and would love to see it in the hands of every person with little people in their lives. If you are able PLEASE leave a review on Amazon – reviews are critical to the search function on Amazon. THANK YOU!
Now for the month in pictures – thanks Instagram! If you need clarification or explanation about a photo, just ask in the comments!!!

Bless you, Susan!
Thank you Linda – He is so gracious to us.
Twice this morning, I’ve read that you are concerned about your adult children. I’ll join you in praying about that — the whole III John 4 thing is a pretty big deal and I hear your heart.
3 John 4 is my mission statement!!!
So enjoy your words and your photos. Thank you for all you share!
Thanks, neighbor!
Good morning, Susan! What a busy month you’ve had! Don’t you just enjoy Instagram! I do! Bless you!
Lora, IG is my new favorite!
Praying for your adult children now. May God help them with all things in their lives. So grateful our God takes care of them every day of their lives from when they are small. May He fill your heart with His peace. xo
AND, He finishes what He begins.
I love this but it seems you were busier than you thought in June. I like how you outlined what you read, were excited about, etc. great format.
I’ve been learning all about patience and perseverance. Seems some days I’m getting it and other days not so much. Here’s to new beginnings and the month of July.
Mary, patience and perseverance? OUCH!!!
Agreeing with you on the 3 John 4 verse! My biggest heart’s prayer too!
Yes ma’am.
Ah, I love list posts. 🙂 I’ve recently gotten into Podcasts too. I’m also looking forward to the long weekend at the lake with my people. Happy Wednesday, friend. xo
THE LAKE? You make my heart melt. Please Lord give me a lake house one day.
Your next book??
Mine is ready to be uploaded today but then I said that last Sat and yesterday, so…
Thanks for including me in 31 survivors. Hopefully I’ll find some launching friends (sept 1 is what I’m thinking.)
xx
You should find a team!!! Count me in.
I really do love this format. I don’t have one and it can be hard to remember what I did over the past month. It’s an age thing! I’m so happy I got to share a part of June with you and I look forward to more time at the lake in the future Praying God’s blessings over you and your family my friend. Patti
Thank you, Patti – spending that weekend with y’all is going to be a highlight of our summer 2017. THANK YOU.
Beautiful reminder, Susan, when things seems to be falling apart. Because sometimes they need to fall apart in order to fall together. “GAKAT. God Already Knew About This (or That).”
Praying for your children, sweet friend (Isaiah 43:5).
Thank you Crystal – have a good blogging break! xo
Sounds like a busy and mostly positive month! I wrestle with the last one as well and trust that God is working in their lives to draw them to Himself.
Oh yes, Barbara…
Great list for June, Susan! I enjoyed the photos also!
Blessings to you, dear sister. xo
Fabulous list. It is difficult to believe that another month is over already. The ending of your list really grips my heart. I wrote a prayer for rebellious children that I will attempt to send you, underneath my email address, if you are interested. Please know that you are in my prayers. We serve a great God. He is bigger than our problems and nothing is impossible with Him.
Erin, I don’t know you and yet your kindness touches me deeply.
Susan, I love this list so much, even though I’m a few weeks late. I’m going to make mine today. ♥️♥️
You will love the review!
