Faith builders – we all have had those life-changing experiences with God, and if you haven’t had one, just hang on because you will… IF you want them! I want to share a brief testimony about my friend – for privacy sake, I’ll call her J.
For many weeks J had been wanting a closer relationship with the Lord. She would awaken early and just lie there in bed until she thought it was the right time to get up. One morning as she woke at 6 a.m., the thought occurred to her to get up, get moving, put some sneakers on and go outside and walk and PRAY. She did this for weeks and as she walked and talked (to the Lord), she asked to get really close to God and to KNOW for certain that He was who she believed He was – present and active in her life.
Then, the unthinkable happened. She found lumps in her breast. Her husband urged her to immediately call her doctor. A mammogram revealed a “red flag” and an ultrasound was scheduled. Ultrasound resulted in an appointment with a surgeon. Three lumps were removed and sent to pathology. This past Saturday, J sat on my front porch eating lunch with our book club group and shared her story.
She had been talking to the Lord a day or so after the surgery and said to Him, “Lord if the pathology report comes back as cancer…” She heard in her spirit, “It is.” Her ears perked up instantly and then said to Him, “Well, Lord, then I’m asking You to help me and if You will, heal it.” That strong, sweet voice rose in her spirit again, “I did.”
When she shared that story, we all praised the Lord and said, “Let it be,” and had God-bumps up and down our bodies! Today, I received an email with a report on J. The pathology report came back, NO CANCER. I just got off the phone with J – we did the happy, hallelujah dance together, cried a tear or two, and we basked in God’s faithfulness for twenty minutes or so.I encouraged her to write all of this down in her journal – this is one of those “anchor marks” in her faith journey. God not only heard her cry, the Great I AM responded.
“It is……I did!”
Mark it down – God is at work in the lives of His kids!
Praise the name of the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome testament of God’s awesomeness!!
Thanks for sharing this, Susan!
Hugs,
Kennisha
Thank you Jesus!!! Nothing, and I mean Nothing is too hard for him. He is so faithful to us, his little sheep. Thank you honey, it still gives me God-bumps!!!
WOW, Amen! This morning I was having my haircut and asked my hairdresser how her father, who had been battling bladder cancer for 3 years and had spread to kidney, was doing. Several weeks back they had decided the chemo wasn’t working, took him off and sent him to Boston so they could start a plan to remove the bladder. The biopsy was done and much to their amazement, the bladder was clear, NO CANCER, now the only question is the removal of one kidney. Just one more of God’s miracles.
Amen Precious Lord
I love this with all my heart! I am making this my new motto…”It is…I did”
Thank you and tell “J” she touched me deeply today!!
