Last year Wendy Speake did a blog series with posts from 24 writers, all in Haiku poetry. In case you don’t know what that is, I’ll explain. Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five syllables each, traditionally evoking images of the natural world. Wendy gave out the word prompts and the writer did the rest. I took the challenge because I had never really done Haiku writing. I had a lot of fun with it and thought you might too. Here are my poems, be a sport and try your hand at a Haiku in the comments.
