The 57 degree transition!!!
Here we are! Up to our eyeballs in boxes, tape, index cards, and clothing bags! 30 years being packed away and a new chapter opening. I am grateful our book is still being written. One page at a time. In a book titled, “Lifetime,” I wonder what chapter we are opening! I know this much, it’s wearing us out! We are excited and motivated as well as tired.
I am going to share some pics of the new flat! 229 Walnut, as it is being fondly referred to. Remember all of these are “before” pictures – I’ll be sure to update with beautifully staged and styled photos once we are in and settled. Deal?
This is a corner of our HUGE master bedroom. Fireplaces are sealed but still have that ambience! Please note Sam’s bed!
I am standing in the kitchen looking into living room. The open door is our front door. Stairs lead up to my office/guest room.
Thought you’d enjoy the collage!
We spent some time in the flat this weekend. Walking around, hanging a few towels, etc., I felt an overflow of peace and hope within its walls. Yes, it’s going to be incredibly different but I believe, incredibly good. Continue to pray for us. The closing and the “big” move — this Saturday, my office and our bedroom. It’s getting incredibly real!
O! yeah, this happened this weekend too:
Simon, now with his NC driver’s permit, drove us to IKEA. Interstate, rain, and all.
And, what would June be without one or two of these?
Yes, it was longer than he is tall. We don’t kill them, we “relocate” them!
