Please note: this is a repost of last year’s 4th of July post – I’m going to allow myself some “freedom” this week and share it once again because it’s good, and it’s simple and easy during a busy time. There is so much I want to say today about several recent events but I’m still sorting through my thoughts and I’d rather not say anything than saying something I might regret. Enjoy this amazing video – it still brings tears to my eyes one year later!
I love this video of the whale being set free from the bondages of the tangled fishing gear – the first time I saw it I thought how much this reminded me of the freedom Jesus Christ gives us.
I’ve been entangled by the ravishes of sin and just like this film, the messy lines and gear were gently cut away until I was able to swim free!
My heavenly Father has been so gracious to me.
Patient with me.
Compassionate and merciful.
Now, every once in a while I breach the surface with shear joy and do the happy, grateful dance as my Father sings over me. (Zephaniah 3.17)
If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed! John 8.36

Love this, Susan! Such a great visual of who we are in Christ!
That is exactly what Christ did for me! I am free. No net holds me back anymore. Thank you LORD!
Yes, our sin sure does bind us like cords, and the freedom found through Christ is glorious. Visiting from Women With Intention.
Like a net…thank you so much for visiting.
What a picture to display how Jesus cut the nets of sin from our lives and gave us freedom in Him (Galatians). It takes a long time to begin to get that understanding of being freed from the old life but it’s worth every minute of reading, praying and meditation and hearing His servants remind us. Thank you LORD are simply not enough but right now, in this day and time, it’s all we have. For Your glory LORD. For Your Glory.
My chains are gone, I’ve been set free!
Nice to meet you as well.
Visiting back from Jennifer’s.

Amen.
We are free.
We are free, indeed.
The bravery and compassion that is demonstrated in this video is astounding. These men and women loved this whale to pieces just like God loves us. I loved watching the whale dance for joy by flipping, turning, and jumping in the air. Thankful for all the freedoms we have, and looking forward to celebrating them this Fourth of July! Thanks for sharing.
Such a picture, isn’t it?
This is a great visual of what Christ does for us and how we can be used by Him to help those around us!
You always see the humility, Christian – I only saw the freedom. THANK YOU.
Embrace the freedom, friend. Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Every day, and thank you!
I did the same thing this week with my weekly Women Connect post – so many thoughts filling my head, needing more time than I had to process them and it finally hit me I needed to rest and just take a break and let the thoughts percolate without time pressure. A beautifully written – a pleasure to read and a timely reminder for me.
Tracey, such power in the pen we must be very thoughtful with our words. Thank you for visiting.
Amen to being set free in Christ! #belovedbrews
Tiffany, you have a witness, sister!
What an amazing video! How could one not rejoice and delight in seeing the freedom of the whale. And that is exactly the rejoicing which takes place when one of us finds freedom in and through our Savior. Beautiful!
I know, Joanne, I love the end when the little girl says, “Mommy I know why he is happy – it is because he is free!” It gives me God bumps just to type that!
