Just yesterday morning this word was spoken out of my mouth in positive fashion.
Hubs didn’t walk with me so I did an in-town 30 minute brisk walk. Now that we live downtown, in a second floor flat, I walk with a lanyard-type necklace with our key attached, the car key is on there too. I carry my phone with drivers license and bank card in the carry case. As I approached the 1893 house where we now live I thought to myself, you can go right over to Walmart and get those few things you need.
I did. $90 and 35 minutes later I pulled up to the curb outside, popped the trunk, and began unloading. My hands were full, two new pillows and some other sundry items. As I thought how do I close the trunk our neighbor, Mr. Q walked out the front door.
Could you close the trunk?
Sure…anything else? Want me to take something up?
No, I’m good. I am woman hear me roar!
Mr. Q laughed and did a power muscle thing!!! My hubs then came out the front door and helped with the bags.
I was a single Mom to three kids for several years – I learned my strengths and at times amazed even myself. When we are out and about I see women multi-tasking with incredible skill and I am always moved to say something to them. You are amazing. You’re doing an awesome job. Can I help you with that? Thank you for mothering well.
