Today’s the day I join a lot of bloggers who take the 5-minute challenge of writing about one word at LisaJo Baker’s website. Today’s prompt is…
On my mark, get set, write:
Funny, how Holy Spirit uses these one word prompts. About 2 weeks ago, the Lord told me to renew my passport. It’s sitting here on my desk and I keep looking at it. I only got a passport in 1999 to take a mission trip to Cuba – have/had no intention of going anywhere else and let it expire. Now this. I have this heartful of compassion for children in Uganda who suffer, and sometimes die because of parasitic jiggers in their feet and I learned about SoleHope and cutting out shoe parts for Ugandan women to sew into shoes for these beautiful feet. And then yesterday I see a Tweet about SoleHope Bloggers Mission Trip and read all about it, feeling the passion swelling inside of me and then I read the stories of those going and the 50 shots they had to have to go into Africa and I look at my passport and I just asked myself, Are you willing?
Then. this. word. this. morning.
