All who wander are not lost!
We have that on a coffee mug in the cupboard of our travel trailer, Gracee. And, oh how we have wandered over the years!
Yesterday, hubs and I celebrated 39 years of togetherness. We have some wandering miles behind us. Our number one love language is road trip – conducive to wandering. We rarely travel Interstates but prefer the scenic, filled with wander, secondary roads.
Undeterred
Undeterred by danger, drive at own risk, signs we have seen over the miles are invitations to wonders we wouldn’t have seen unless we wandered!
As I lie awake in the wee hours my mind tends to wander – and that isn’t always a good thing. The devil can use those quiet moments to try to torment me – I have to bring that wandering mind full circle and rein in my thoughts.
Wandering
To wander can have two sides. Let’s choose the good one. The Lord wants us to wander in His Word and enjoy the wonders of His Grace.
Those 39 years? Have been filled with both!
You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? Psalm 56.8
Happy Anniversary, Susan! Road trips are fun! My husband and I have begun to travel some, now that the children are grown. It is so nice to hike and see beautiful waterfalls.

I am really not too hip,
not enough for youngish years,
but the words, yeah, “Hey, road trip!”
bore me way past tears.
I’ve run the trails from Yang to Ying,
and others ‘long the way,
from Cali up to Medellin,
and through the PDJ.
So many places, people, too,
that really were a pain,
and the trails would turn to glue
in the tropic rain,
so goodbye to the urge to roam,
from here on I’ll just stay at home.
You goofball!
“All who wander are not lost!” — love this. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Anniversary!
Hey Great Granny Sandra, so do I. We do a lot of wandering but not away from HIM.
Wandering is just about my favorite thing to do!
